Alpha- Are you ready for a fresh start?
More than a million people all over the world have completed the Alpha course during the last six years in churches, schools, homes, universities and prisons. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over eleven thought-provoking weekly sessions, with one weekend retreat. It is low-key, friendly, and fun - and it is supported by all main Protestant denominations and the Catholic Church. Why not take this opportunity to explore the meaning of life?Everyone is welcome to Alpha and people attend for a wide variety of reasons. Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church on and off all their lives but they feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come from many different backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints. But all come with the same objective: to find out if Jesus Christ has any relevance for their lives.
A typical night at Alpha starts with supper followed by a short time of worship, a speaker, and small group interaction.
