The Blessing of Weakness

2 Corinthians 12:1-10; verse 9

March 7, 2010

    Our morning scripture is a classic New Testament text on the blessing of weakness.   What did the apostle Paul discover about his weaknesses?  What can we learn from his experience?  Can our weaknesses really be a blessing? 

     

    • your weakness is where God meets you

     

    • surrendering your weakness to God is surrendering to God’s strength in your life 

     

    • we have to discover this in order to grow spiritually  

     

    • sooner or later we have to stop asking God to remove our thorn or weakness and learn to live with it 

     

    • God wants to use your weakness to bless others
